Introduction
Punjab Forensic Science Authority (PFSA), Home Department, Government of the Punjab, has announced contract-based career opportunities for candidates having Punjab domicile. Vacancies are available at PFSA Lahore, Training Laboratory Lahore and CSDe/Satellite Stations of Punjab Forensic Science Authority.
The appointments will be made on a three-year contract, renewable under the Contract Appointment Policy 2004 of the Government of the Punjab.

1. Additional Director General (Forensic)
Ph.D. in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Physics, Genetics or Molecular Biology with MSc in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university.
7 years of relevant working experience.
7 publications in relevant peer-reviewed journals.
2. Director Forensic
Ph.D. in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Physics, Genetics or Molecular Biology from an HEC-recognized university.
7 years of experience working in a forensic laboratory of international repute.
3. Manager (Pathology & Histology)
MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC/PMC and registered with PMDC/PMC.
Level III postgraduate qualification: Ph.D., FCPS or MRCP in Pathology, Histopathology or Microbiology, or equivalent Diplomate American Board qualification.
4 years' experience in a reputable pathology, histopathology or microbiology laboratory.
OR
Level II postgraduate qualification: M.Phil. in Pathology, Histopathology or Microbiology or equivalent recognized qualification.
6 years' experience in a reputable pathology, histopathology or microbiology laboratory.
4. Forensic Scientist – Firearm & Tool Marks
MS or M.Phil. (Second Division) in Physics, or Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized institution.
3 years' relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
5. Forensic Scientist – Latent Finger Print
MS or M.Phil. (Second Division) in Chemistry from an HEC-recognized institution.
3 years' relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
6. Forensic Scientist – Questioned Document
MS or M.Phil. (Second Division) in Chemistry or Pharm-D from an HEC-recognized institution.
3 years' relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
7. Forensic Scientist – Polygraph
MS or M.Phil. (Second Division) in Clinical Psychology, Psychology or Neuropsychology from an HEC-recognized university.
3 years' relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
8. Forensic Scientist – Photography
MS or M.Phil. (Second Division) in Graphic Design or Photography from an HEC-recognized university.
3 years' relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
OR
Master's in Fine Arts (Second Division) in Graphic Design from an HEC-recognized university.
5 years' relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
9. Forensic Scientist – Toxicology
MS or M.Phil. (Second Division) in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Pharm-D, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology or Forensic Science from an HEC-recognized university.
3 years' relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
10. Forensic Scientist – DNA & Serology
MS or M.Phil. (Second Division) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Forensic Science, Virology, Immunology, Microbiology or Molecular Genetics from an HEC-recognized university.
3 years' relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
OR
BS (Hons) (Second Division) in Entomology, Immunology or Biological Sciences from an HEC-recognized university.
3 years' relevant experience in an accredited forensic laboratory.
Mandatory: Special coursework of four credit hours each in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry and Population Statistics from an HEC-recognized university.
11. Forensic Scientist – Pathology & Histology
MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by PMDC/PMC and registered with PMDC/PMC.
Postgraduate Level III qualification of Ph.D., FCPS or MRCP in Pathology, Histopathology or Microbiology, or equivalent Diplomate American Board qualification.
The advertisement also specifies the prescribed experience requirements in pathology/histopathology/microbiology laboratory work, including the Level II/M.Phil route.
12. Forensic Scientist – Crime & Death Scene Investigation
M.Sc., BS or B.Sc. Salary / Special Pay Package

Junior Forensic Scientist | Rs. 200,000 + 10% annual increase
During training, half salary will be paid for the applicable Forensic Scientist and Junior Forensic Scientist positions as stated in the advertisement.
