The Government of Gilgit-Baltistan has announced contract-based employment opportunities under the PSDP project titled “Establishment of Mountaineering Institute at Shigar.” The project is being implemented with funds received from the Federal Government to establish and develop the Mountaineering Institute at Shigar.
The Office of the Project Director, Establishment of Mountaineering Institute at Shigar, intends to hire qualified and experienced professionals and supporting staff for the smooth functioning of the Project Management Unit (PMU).
Applications are invited from eligible candidates having domicile of Gilgit-Baltistan and meeting the prescribed qualification, experience and age requirements.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria
1. Assistant Resident Engineer – PPS-07
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification: B.Sc Civil Engineering from a university recognized by HEC Pakistan and duly registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
Experience:
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in the Civil Engineering field.
Relevant experience in Building Projects / PSDP Projects will be preferred.
Upper Age Limit: 35 Years
2. Assistant Quantity Surveyor – PPS-04
No. of Posts: 01
B.Sc Civil Engineering; or
DAE Civil; or
B.Tech Civil from a recognized university/college or institute.
Relevant PEC registration or accreditation by the Technical Board is required, where applicable.
Experience:
3–5 years' experience in Civil Engineering projects; or
5–7 years' post-Diploma experience in the Civil Engineering field.
Experience of working as Assistant Quantity Surveyor (AQS) / Quantity Surveyor (QS) in Building or PSDP Projects will be preferred.
Upper Age Limit: 35 Years
3. Senior Accounts Clerk – PPS-04
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification: BBA or B.Com from an HEC-recognized university or college.
Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years' relevant experience.
Candidates should be capable of handling accounts-related matters of PSDP/Development Projects.
Upper Age Limit: 35 Years
4. Cashier – PPS-03
No. of Posts: 01
Qualification: BA or B.Com from an HEC-recognized university or college.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years' relevant experience.

Employment Type & Contract Duration
The appointments will be made on a purely contract basis for an initial period of one year.
The contract may be extended depending upon:
Satisfactory performance of the employee; and
Continuation of the project.
These positions are project-based and are intended for the smooth functioning of the Project Management Unit of the Mountaineering Institute at Shigar.
