University of Education Lahore – HEC Project Career Opportunities
The University of Education (UE), Lahore has announced contractual career opportunities under an HEC-funded National Research Program for Universities (NRPU) project. Applications are invited from qualified and eligible candidates for the positions of PhD (Chemistry) Student, MS Student and Accountant.
The positions are available under NRPU-funded Project No. 169279-131, titled:
“Integrated monitoring and remediation of wastewater through pollution load analysis, stable isotope tracing, and nanoparticle-based treatment.”
The project focuses on research related to wastewater monitoring, pollution-load analysis, stable isotope tracing, nanomaterial synthesis and wastewater remediation.
The appointments will initially be made for one year, with the possibility of extension for up to two years, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of project funds.

Have secured admission to a PhD programme in Chemistry.
Be enrolled in an HEC-recognized public-sector university.
Preferred Research Experience
Preference will be given to candidates having research experience or knowledge in:
Nanomaterial synthesis
Stable isotope tracing
Wastewater sampling
Pollution-load analysis
Wastewater remediation
This position is particularly suitable for PhD Chemistry students interested in environmental chemistry, wastewater treatment and nanomaterial-based research.
2. MS Student
No. of Post: 01
Stipend: As per HEC Policy
The candidate must:
Have secured admission to an MS programme in Chemistry.
Be enrolled in an HEC-recognized public-sector university.
Preferred Knowledge & Experience
Preference will be given to candidates having knowledge and practical experience in:
Nanomaterial synthesis
Nanomaterial characterization
Wastewater sampling
Wastewater analysis
3. Accountant

Salary / Stipend: As per HEC Policy
Candidates should possess a:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
Relevant qualifications may include:
B.Com
BBA
Equivalent degree in a relevant field
Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to candidates having experience in:
Managing accounts
Maintaining financial records
Record-keeping
Public-sector university accounts
Research project accounts
Government-funded project accounts
Working Hours
The working hours for the Accountant will be flexible, approximately 3–4 hours per day, or as mutually agreed.
Contract Duration
The selected candidates will initially be appointed for a period of one year.
The appointment may be extended for up to two additional years, subject to:
Satisfactory performance; and
Availability of project funds.
The Principal Investigator will have the exclusive right to terminate the engagement in case of unsatisfactory performance.
