Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Jobs 2026 – Project Director

The Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, Government of Pakistan, through the CPEC Secretariat, is inviting applications for the position of Project Director (PPS-12) under CPEC 2.0 / URAAN Pakistan. The selected professional will provide strategic leadership, coordinate with Chinese counterparts, and support the implementation of CPEC initiatives and projects.

📌 Eligibility Criteria

📌 Qualification:

Postgraduate qualification in Administration, Engineering, or equivalent.

Experience:

Minimum 15 years of progressive and verifiable senior management experience in the Government or private sector.

Candidates with good knowledge of the Chinese economy and Chinese language will be particularly encouraged to apply.

Role and Responsibilities

The Project Director will be responsible for:

Providing overall leadership, supervision, and strategic direction to the CPEC Secretariat.

Coordinating with Chinese counterparts and facilitating effective implementation of CPEC initiatives and projects.

Supporting line ministries and relevant institutions throughout the CPEC project lifecycle.

Overseeing stakeholder coordination, project-related risks, and senior-level engagement with public and private sector institutions.

Supporting CPEC priorities in accordance with the CPEC Long Term Plan and decisions of the Joint Cooperation Committee.
