Through a network of Government Special Education Institutions, the department promotes inclusive education by employing qualified teachers and specialists in various disability-specific disciplines, including hearing impairment, visual impairment, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities, and speech therapy.
To ensure uninterrupted educational services and improve learning outcomes for students with special needs, the department is inviting applications for the hiring of School Teaching Interns (STIs) on a temporary basis in Government Special Education Institutions of District Chiniot for the academic session 2026-27.

Fresh candidates possessing the required qualifications are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to applicants having relevant teaching experience.
Junior Special Education Teacher (HI)
MA or BS (Second Division/Grade C) in Special Education with specialization in Hearing Impairment (HI) or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university.
Junior Special Education Teacher (VI)
MA or BS (Second Division/Grade C) in Special Education with specialization in Visual Impairment (VI) or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university.
Certificate of Proficiency in Braille issued by the Directorate General of Special Education Punjab.
Junior Special Education Teacher (MC)
MA or BS (Second Division/Grade C) in Special Education with specialization in Mentally Challenged (MC) or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university.
Junior Special Education Teacher (PD)
MA or BS (Second Division/Grade C) in Special Education with specialization in Physically Disabled (PD) or equivalent qualification from an HEC-recognized university.
Speech Therapist
Applicants should possess one of the following:
MA/BS in Special Education with one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy, or
BS/B.Sc. (Hons.) in Speech and Language Therapy or Speech Pathology (Second Division) from an HEC-recognized university.

Hiring will be purely temporary, school-specific, and non-transferable.
Internship duration will be 09 months (excluding summer vacations) or until the joining of regular employees, whichever occurs earlier.
The internship does not confer any right to permanent employment.
Performance and attendance will be monitored regularly.
The department reserves the right to terminate the internship by giving one month's notice or payment in lieu thereof.
Age relaxation will be granted according to the applicable Punjab Government rules.
Separate applications must be submitted for each post and each institution.
