Department Introduction

Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICT Police) has announced Job Opportunities – Executive Staff 2026 for suitable Pakistani national candidates, including male and female applicants, for various posts in Islamabad Capital Territory Police (Law & Order).

Applications are invited according to the provincial and regional quota system laid down by the Federal Government to ensure transparency and merit in the recruitment process.

A total of 1,624 vacancies have been announced for Sub-Inspector (SI), Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), and Constable positions.

Physical Standards

The prescribed physical standards apply to the advertised uniformed positions.

Minimum Height

Male: 5 feet 7 inches

Female: 5 feet 2 inches

Chest Requirement

Male candidates: 33 × 34½ inches

Chest requirement is applicable to male candidates only.

Endurance Test

Candidates must qualify the following running test:

Male: 1 Mile run in 7 minutes

Female: 1 Mile run in 10 minutes

Candidates are advised to wear joggers or suitable shoes and bring their own bottle of drinking water during the endurance test.

Candidates are personally responsible for getting themselves medically checked for the endurance test. They are required to obtain a medical test/medical examination report from a Government or District Hospital and bring it with them when appearing for the endurance test.

Mandatory Documents

Candidates will be required to produce the following original documents at the time of interview:

CNIC issued by NADRA

Academic certificates

Domicile certificate

Two passport-size photographs with blue background

Affidavit duly countersigned by the respective Deputy Commissioner in case of applying against the minorities (non-Muslims) quota

Candidates applying under family claim as the real son/grandson or real daughter/granddaughter of a serving, retired or deceased police employee must also provide complete supporting documentation, such as:

Pension book

Retirement order

Other relevant documents supporting the claim

Eligible candidates are required to apply online only through the following websites:

Applications submitted by hand, through courier, or through any other channel will not be entertained.

No documents, photographs or forms are required to be submitted in hard form until the interview stage.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay:

Application Fee: Rs. 2,000/- per application/per post

The fee is required for processing the application and conducting the requisite tests.

Payment will be made using the 24-digit PSID generated through the fee challan issued from the online application portal.

Important: The application fee is non-refundable.

Candidates applying for more than one post must pay the fee separately for each post. However, candidates applying for multiple posts will be required to pass the physical test only once.

Important Dates

Application Closing Date: 02 September 2026

The cut-off date for age calculation is the closing date of applications, i.e. 02 September 2026.

Applicants should submit their applications within the prescribed period and avoid waiting until the final day.

Selection Process

Candidates will be required to qualify the applicable recruitment stages.

The recruitment process may include:

Physical / Endurance Test

Computer-Based Test or Written Test

Interview

Final Medical Examination

Verification of character and academic antecedents

Only candidates who qualify the physical/endurance test and computer-based or written test will be called for interview.

Passing one stage qualifies a candidate for the next stage. A candidate who fails any stage/test will be disqualified from proceeding to the next stage.

The Departmental Recruitment Board and its staff may verify the physical standards of candidates again at the time of interview. If any deficiency is found, the candidate may be disqualified.

General Instructions

Applicants must apply online through www.npftas.pk or www.islamabadpolice.gov.pk.

The age cut-off date is 02 September 2026.

The application fee is Rs. 2,000 per post and is non-refundable.

Candidates applying for multiple posts must pay the fee separately for each post.

Physical testing is required according to the prescribed standards.

No relaxation in height, chest and age will be granted.

Candidates must provide correct and complete information in their applications.

Providing false information may result in cancellation of the application and legal proceedings under the applicable provisions of law.

Candidates must disclose information regarding their involvement in any criminal case(s) on the online application portal.

Candidates are required to submit an affidavit regarding criminal-case information at the interview stage.

Transgender persons may apply according to their self-perceived gender identity in accordance with the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018 and the gender mentioned on their CNIC.

Government employees who meet the eligibility criteria must apply through proper channel.

Higher qualifications will be given preference at the interview stage only.

Selected candidates will undergo a complete medical examination by the Medical Board/Civil Surgeon of the Federal Government.

Candidates will be informed about recruitment updates through the application portal, SMS or email.

Applicants should regularly check the recruitment portal for updates.

Candidates must provide an active mobile number that has not been converted to another network.

No TA/DA will be admissible for written/computer-based tests, physical/endurance tests, skill tests, interviews or other recruitment stages.

Candidates must accept the rules and regulations governing conduct, discipline, promotion, retirement and other relevant matters after selection.

ICT Police reserves the right to modify or cancel the number of posts, advertisement, recruitment process or instructions at any stage.

Test Centres

Details of examination centres are available through the application portal.

Candidates may select two test centres in order of priority. However, the final designation of the test centre will remain the exclusive domain of ICT Police.

Character & Document Verification

The character and academic antecedents of selected candidates will be verified.

If any bogus or false information, criminal record, false affidavit or false undertaking is discovered, the selection may be withdrawn/cancelled immediately.

If such information is discovered after employment, the candidate may be discharged from service and legal proceedings may also be initiated.

Medical Examination

At the time of final selection, candidates will be required to undergo a complete medical examination by the Medical Board/Civil Surgeon of the Federal Government.

Candidates found to have Hepatitis B & C or any other perpetual ailments, as specified in the advertisement, shall stand disqualified.
